Volunteer Guidelines

Fred Hutch Cancer Center depends on reliable and dedicated volunteers to ensure the best possible care for our patients and families.  We ask all volunteer applicants commit to the requirements listed below to ensure the safety and well-being for our patients.

  • At least 18 years or older; some roles the minimum is 21 years old 
  • Complete an online application, orientation, sign and upload require documents, attend a Zoom meeting and clear a national background check.
  • Complete the required health and vaccinations requirements. Including COVID-19 and annual Flu shot. 
  • Must be 1 year out of active cancer treatment (some exceptions allowed).
  • Make a 3-6 months time commitment.
