Volunteer Policies and Requirements
We are currently recruiting for summer volunteers (May-August) in various roles at select locations. If you are available for this period, please indicate so when applying. We will match an applicant's availability and interest to available roles. We will keep your application on file for up to 6 months.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with St. Joseph's Health Care London. Please review the required policies and requirements below prior to creating an account and submitting your application.
- I understand that a 2-step TB test and proof of immunity to measles, mumps, varicella and rubella are required.
- I understand that a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check may be required for some volunteer positions at the volunteer's expense without reimbursement, and must be submitted or uploaded to the volunteer portal upon request
- I understand that the information I am providing in the application to volunteer may be verified by St. Joseph's Health Care London. I hereby grant permission to St. Joseph's Health Care London to contact any persons and references who might be able to verify the information. I grant Volunteer Servies permission to use the information as required for my role as a volunteer.
- I understand that a 6-month commitment to volunteering is required, with exception to students in high school.

Please note: Volunteer roles have defined boundaries and do not encompass tasks that are legally restricted to licensed healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, laboratory technicians). Such tasks are excluded from all volunteer positions. Volunteering will not offer opportunities to practice or develop clinical or technical skills.
