In Barking and Dagenham we know that we are stronger together and this is simply further demonstrated by the incredible response we have had both from our local voluntary and community sector and residents like yourselves. It is amazing to see so many people come forward to volunteer during these difficult times and we hugely appreciate you doing so. We thank you for your commitment and generosity and we look forward to working with you.
How is this all going to work?
We have put out the call for help, looking for people who can support those who are most at risk from COVID-19, and others who are struggling and might need help, and you have answered that call. We are working with the voluntary and community sector, as well as adult social care, public health and the NHS, to work with you and mobilise volunteers to where they are needed and where they can help throughout the Borough. We will also advertise volunteering opportunities to you through this platform and you can take up whichever work best for you.
What will happen next?
Along with our trusted community partners, we will use this information to coordinate your support and connect you to volunteering opportunities across Barking and Dagenham. This will help make sure that your time and efforts are used as effectively as possible and will also ensure that everyone in the Borough receives the help that they need.
