Melbourne AMEP Volunteer Requirements
To volunteer with us you will need to meet the following requirements:

Over 18 years old

Proficient spoken and written English (speakers of additional languages encouraged to apply)

Empathy and ability to relate with people from different cultural backgrounds

Willingness to obtain Working with Children Check and Police Check or equivalent

Meet with your assigned client/s - four times a month (1—2 hours per week)

Log hours and report on client/s encounters weekly
-
Willingness for a minimum volunteer commitment of 6 months
-
Willingness to undertake initial volunteer training via online modules

Please note that this is purely a volunteer role. Soliciting or requesting payment is prohibited within the program.

Any personal information or health information collected will be for the purpose of running and administering the AMEP program including:
- Training and assessment
- Conducting research, preparing statistics and reporting to various bodies including government bodies and regulatory authorities
- Program administration and monitoring and evaluation of the program
