Taber & District Adult Learning Volunteer Program

Our Volunteers:

  • Assist staff and programs under the Taber & District Adult Learning umbrella.

  • Are interested in working in a supported environment.
  • Like office administrative-type of work.
  • Are creative and patient.
  • Have empathy for English language learners and Adult Literacy Learners.
  • Are sensitive to different cultures and language backgrounds.
  • Are reliable and trustworthy.

Steps to Become a Volunteer:

1.  Submit an application.

2.  Meet with the Volunteer Manager.

3.  Obtain a Police Information Check.

4.  Attend an introductory orientation session.

5.  Attend several volunteer professional development learning sessions throughout the year.

6.  Commitment varies, depending on operational need.
