All volunteers have basic responsibilities that can be summarized as follows:
- Show up and be timely – Volunteers will honor any time/shift commitments they make and contact appropriate program leaders or staff if they will be late or absent.
- Be knowledgeable – understand the duties of your chosen role. Information may be sent in advance or shared in person after you arrive for a shift.
- Perform with professionalism and integrity.
- Wear clothing that is appropriate for the activity you are doing.
- Maintain accurate contact information in your online volunteer profile.
- Maintain a positive, pleasant attitude.
- Comply with all Conservancy policies.
- Support a mutually respectful work environment and treat the public with exemplary customer service.
