Mountain Humane Community Service Program

Mountain Humane is a private, non-profit corporation. It is at our discretion to allow or disallow the public to serve their community service requirements here at Mountain Humane. Our mission is to care for and protect the homeless animals of the Wood River Valley. We take this mission very seriously and expect the same of our community service workers. If you respect the mission while completing your community service at Mountain Humane, we are grateful for your help. We operate with a limited staff and therefore it is a requirement that you must be able to work with limited supervision and direction. Anyone who is found to be lounging or otherwise working inappropriately will be asked to leave. We expect everyone to be polite and to use appropriate language while performing community service at Mountain Humane.

I fully understand that as part of my volunteer assignment and/or community service at Mountain Humane, I may come into contact with animals either by directly handling them, or through assisting in their care and adoption. Furthermore, I understand that working with animals carries a risk of injury and that it is possible that I may be scratched, bitten, and/or otherwise injured. I understand that Mountain Humane work puts me in direct contact with cleaning chemicals that may be caustic. My signature to this liability release verifies my intent to hold harmless and release from all liability Mountain Humane, its agents, and its assignees, from all acts which are related to the normal performance of required and implied duties.
