THANK YOU for your interest in hospice volunteering. Hospice care offers many meaningful volunteer opportunities to support our patients and their families. Email us at VolunteerManager@tuftsmedicine.org for more information. Examples of volunteer opportunities include:
Patient companionship * Respite for family and caregivers * Bereavement services support * Spiritual support * Veterans program support * Living Legacy program support * Pet therapy * Energy medicine (i.e. Reiki) * Hairdressing * Licensed massage therapy * Vigil services * Sewing keepsakes * Singing/Playing Music
Many volunteers work in private homes, nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout eastern Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire and at High Pointe House.
Others give their time and talent helping in the administrative offices, on special projects or assisting at fundraising events. Volunteers receive specialized training and ongoing education, much like our clinical staff, as they are critical members of the our team.
- All applicants must have clean Massachusetts (MA) and New Hampshire (NH) CORI reports.

- Vaccine documentation is required. If you are unable to provide it, Tufts Medicine Care at Home will cover the cost of necessary lab work and any required immunizations.
- Annual flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season. If you have a medical exemption, please submit a letter from your healthcare provider.
