Volunteering Policy Terms and Conditions

Thank you for your interest in joining the Houston SPCA Foster Family!

Please fill out the Houston SPCA Foster Family application so we can know more about your interests in Fostering.

We also have opportunities to help animals in need through volunteering on our campus, such as walking dogs, helping in the cattery or taking animal profile photos.  There is also a need for volunteers at the Houston SPCA’s Wildlife Center of Texas.  All of these opportunities are listed below and can help navigate your way through these enriching programs. No matter how you’d like to make a difference, we’re glad you are here!

  • You will also need reliable internet access to receive Foster schedules and communicate with the Foster Family Coordinator.
  • Once the application has been approved, we will send you a link for the online Foster training video.  Please note that we do not accept applicants who have a history of sexual offense, violent crime, theft or animal cruelty.
  • After successfully watching the Foster training video, you can begin Fostering animals in need!
