Our mission is to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible. We welcome enthusiastic people from the local community who are committed to delivering exceptional service to our guests and align with our mission to apply.
Please review the policies and requirements below carefully before submitting your application:
Age Requirements
Museum of the Bible volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to apply.
Service Requirements
All volunteers must be committed to the Museum’s mission: To invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible. Volunteers must complete a background check and must be authorized to work in the United States. Volunteers must commit to one (1) year of volunteer service, beginning on their training date. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 40 hours annually.
Other Requirements
Volunteers must have access to a computer with a valid e-mail address, possess basic computer skills for training, scheduling, and communication via e-mail and have proficient verbal communication skills. Volunteers must be able to complete all required training, Some volunteer opportunities may require the ability to stand for a minimum of 2 hours with minimal assistance.
Availability
Some volunteer opportunities are available daily during normal Museum operating hours. Some opportunities may only be available on evenings and weekends or on a one-time basis. Volunteers participate independently in some activities and with supervision in others.
Acknowledgement
I understand that my volunteer assignment may end based on a number of reasons. These may include lack of need, schedule changes, unsatisfactory performance, attitude, failure to comply with policies or other reasons. I acknowledge the ID Badge is the property of MOTB and will surrender my badge to a supervisor or Security upon request and/or at the end of the assignment.
