Organization Policies
These are the requirements to volunteer at Holland Bloorview as a member of our Summer program:
- I can commit to either one full-time month of volunteering (July or August), or part-time availability (15-20 hours/week) throughout both July and August. I have no planned multiple-day absences (e.g. vacations, summer school, etc.) during the time period when I am available to volunteer. Volunteering at Holland Bloorview is a commitment. The clients at Holland Bloorview rely on you, the volunteer, to participate in programs.
- I am a minimum of 14 years of age. If I am 14 years of age, I understand that I am eligible for Aquatics Swim School placement only, and must hold a Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross certification. If I am 15 years of age, I understand that I am eligible for Aquatics (with Bronze Medallion/Bronze Cross) or Robotics (with previous experience as a member of a FIRST Robotics team) placements only.
- I can participate in a mandatory Basic Introductory Training session before Summer programs begin (online or in person).
- I have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (I have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, at least 14 days prior to the start of Summer programs).
I certify that the information in this application is correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that any misrepresentation or omission may result in my dismissal if I am accepted as a volunteer.
