Volunteer Waiver
All volunteers must be at least 15 years of age in order to volunteer (16 years of age for construction and kitchen salvage; 18 years of age for site hosting). You will be asked to provide your date of birth as proof of this.
Your safety is a priority at Habitat Niagara, and all volunteers receive online and in-person safety training. CSA certified (green triangle patch) safety footwear is required for most roles.
Waiver: Certain volunteer positions have some risk, while Habitat for Humanity Niagara strives to reduce these risks, they can never be completely eliminated. In consideration of Habitat for Humanity Niagara accepting this Application, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executor, administrators, and assigns, hereby releases Habitat for Humanity Niagara, its director, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions or causes of action and waives any and all claims that I my have in the future arising out of or consequent of any loss, injury or damages which my have arisen by reason of my involvement as a volunteer or otherwise. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, I further the release any recourse, which I may now or hereafter have resulting from any decision of Habitat for Humanity Niagara.
