Windsor/Essex County Humane Society Updated Recruitment Practices

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Events with the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society (WECHS)! We are grateful for the work of our volunteers and value all that they do in contribution and benefit to the animals in our care.

Please take a moment to review the following before completing our online application:

Recruitment is based on current volunteer needs and program openings.
For our Youth Events Program, volunteers must be a High School Student (Started Grade 9 up to and including Grade 12). Applicants must be over the age of 18 years for our General Events Program.
All registrations/applications must be complete, to be eligible. Please be sure to fully read and answer each question.
You must list 2 references to vouch for you, and that you are dependable and responsible.
Completing an application does not guarantee a volunteer position. Only successful applicants will be contacted.
