Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center Volunteer Program Overview
Thank you for expressing an interest in volunteering at Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center! We offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities, including: trail maintenance, living history demonstrator, tour guide, camp counselor, horticultural aide, costume guild, carpentry, and arts & crafts.
In a typical year, volunteers at Jones Park donate 10,000 hours assisting staff with 400+ programs, activities and outreach events attended by nearly 25,000 people. Volunteers are instrumental in leading 100+ homestead tours for 4,000+ area school children and serving as counselors for our free Summer Nature Camp. Volunteers also fill about 100 job/time slots at each of the 5 annual festivals hosted by Jones Park and contribute greatly to the success of these community events.
In order to become a volunteer, please create a Better Impact account or log in to an existing account to complete the Volunteer Application Form. We welcome volunteers of all ages, but please note that volunteers under 16 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian who is volunteering alongside them. A parental permission form is also required for all under the age of 18.
