Thank you for taking an interest in volunteering with Darebin City Council. The role of a volunteer is viewed by Council as an essential component to helping communities keep connected and engaged. We are committed to ensuring a safe, fair, inclusive and enjoyable volunteer experience for our diverse community.
A friendly reminder, to volunteer with the Early Years Volunteer Program, volunteers are required to:
- have a valid Working with Children Check (the Volunteer WWCC is free)
- complete a Police Check (at no cost to you)
- provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (minimum two doses)
This program prioritises volunteers living in Darebin, working in Darebin and/or studying in Darebin.
Collecting personal information:
The purpose of collecting personal information in this application form, is to support volunteers throughout their volunteer engagement with Council. This information will be used by Council for these purposes only. Once a profile has been created, the personal information can be updated as needed.
Eligibility to volunteer:
If you hold a visa, we recommend that you check your visa details and conditions as there may be restrictions around volunteering. You can check your visa conditions by visiting the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs website.
