Volunteer Terms & Conditions
As a volunteer for Wimberley Adoption Group & Rescue (WAG Rescue), I fully recognize and assume the possible dangers associated with the work of WAG Rescue.
I further acknowledge that all services are performed at my own risk, and in so doing, I agree to comply with all of the rules and regulations which may be established by WAG Rescue, and I understand that failure to do so may result in my immediate termination as a volunteer.
I acknowledge that my services are provided strictly on a voluntary basis, without any pay.
I understand that my volunteer work may involve dangerous situations and dangerous animals. I understand that I will be handling dogs that have histories unknown by WAG Rescue, and which may become dangerous without warning or provocation.
I will treat ALL WAG Rescue DOGS with RESPECT and CARE.
On behalf of myself, my heirs, personal representatives and executors, I hereby release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless WAG Rescue, its board of directors, officers, staff and all other persons and organizations in any way connected with WAG Rescue from any and all claims, causes of action, or demands, of any nature or cause, including costs and attorney’s fees incurred by WAG Rescue in connection with the same, based on damages or injuries which may be incurred or sustained by me in any way connected with my services for WAG Rescue, including but not limited to animal bites, accidents, or other injuries caused by animals.
I understand that any time I am working in a volunteer capacity with WAG Rescue; I am acting as representative of the organization and will present myself and behave in an according manner.
I agree to keep confidential the medical conditions of all animals handled by WAG Rescue. I also agree to keep confidential all donors and donations related to WAG Rescue. I agree that I will make no statements to the public or media on behalf of WAG Rescue, and will defer any such questions to active board members of WAG Rescue.
WIMBERLEY ADOPTION GROUP & RESCUE MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS CONCERNING ANY ANIMAL'S EXPOSURE TO RABIES OR OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES.
Media Release: I also understand that public relations is an important part of the work at WAG Rescue. On behalf of myself, my heirs, personal representatives, and executors, I allow WAG Rescue to use any photographs, video recordings, or other images taken of me in my capacity as a volunteer with WAG Rescue for use in its public relations efforts. WAG Rescue will have the rights to use these photographs for marketing materials or in any other ways that WAG Rescue sees fit without any payment to me.
