Conditions of Participation as a Cleland Wildlife Park Volunteer
As a Volunteer at Cleland Wildlife Park (CWP), I agree to comply with the terms below:
- I will comply with the Department for Environment and Water (DEW) policies, procedures and lawful reasonable instructions as determined by relevant DEW/CWP staff
- I will comply with DEW’s safety requirements and risk management procedures
- I understand that I am volunteering my services and I will not receive any remuneration for those services
- I will disclose any relevant medical conditions and pre-existing injuries and authorise CWP staff to obtain medical assistance deemed necessary for my situation in the case of an emergency and accept responsibility for all associated expenses
- I will comply with reasonable directions from CWP staff and assist staff to the best of my ability
- I will not smoke, consume or store alcohol or illicit drugs, or be under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs, while working on site at CWP
- I will respect the rights, property and feelings of others, and not engage in any form of harassment or discrimination
- I will cooperate and contribute to a safe and happy work environment, and accept responsibility for my own health and safety at all times
- Photographs and/or videos taken of me at an activity may be used by DEW for promotional purposes. If I do not wish my photo to be taken at an activity I will convey this to the CWP Volunteer Coordinator
- I understand that I am required to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC) before commencing voluntary duties
- I understand I must be a financial member of CWP Volunteers ($10 p.a)
- I understand that I must not involve myself unaccompanied or unobserved, in discussion or activity with a minor/minors
- I understand that breaches of conduct and serious misconduct may result in immediate dismissal
