Staff and Volunteer Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct is designed to allow the CCM to preserve its tradition of integrity and credibility with the public and within the organization. This Code applies to all employees and others who represent the CCM, including, but not limited to, employees, Board members, and volunteers. Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination or removal. In addition, nothing in the following prohibited activities and practices shall prevent the CCM from implementing disciplinary measures for activities that do not meet these criteria for prohibited practices but are nonetheless deemed to be contrary to the CCM’s interests.
Employees and volunteers of the CCM will:
• At all times, conduct themselves in a professional manner
• Maintain the highest ethical standards
• Contribute to the efforts of the organization or to the work team and offer assistance wherever
required, whether or not such assistance falls within the normal duties of the job
• Be honest, trustworthy, reliable, and dependable in fulfilling all of the job duties
• Promote the mission and objectives of the CCM in all dealings with the public on behalf of the
organization
• Act always with fairness, integrity, and openness; respect the opinions of others; and treat all
with equality and dignity
• Provide a positive and valued experience for those in contact with and outside the CCM
• Act with honesty and integrity and in accordance with any professional standards and/or
governing laws and legislation that have application to the responsibilities performed for or on
behalf of the CCM
• Comply with both the letter and the spirit of any training or orientation provided by the CCM
• Abide by the policies and procedures in this manual and support the decisions and directions of
the Board of Directors and its delegated authority
• Take responsibility for their actions and decisions
• Follow reporting lines to facilitate the effective resolution of problems
