Organization Policies
As a Highland Hospice volunteer, based in the Highlands of Scotland, there are some guidelines which you must adhere to. These are in place to protect our patients and to ensure you have a quality volunteering experience.
Confidentiality -
I understand that whilst I am volunteering for Highland Hospice I am likely to see and hear things of a confidential nature including the fact of a person being a patient which I must not divulge or discuss out with the Hospice. I appreciate that all matters relating to the patients and their families must be referred to the Nurse-in-Charge. Any information obtained in the course of my time at Highland Hospice whether as part of my own work or having access to the work of another person must be considered confidential.
Health and Safety -
It is the responsibility of each individual volunteer to abide by the Health & Safety regulations which are explained to you when you commence volunteering. These are implemented for your own and others' safety and should not be ignored.
Data Protection -
Highland Hospice stores your data securely for the purposes of administering your volunteering role(s) with the Hospice. We will never sell or share your data with any other third party unless required by law. You can find our full privacy notice on our website at www.highlandhospice.org/privacy
