Organization Policies

Family & Children’s Services is committed to a diverse, inclusive, equitable and accessible workplace. If you believe that you can make a real difference to families & children we work with, we encourage you to submit your application and self-identify in your application.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

Once you submit your application you will automatically receive a secondary form - Child Welfare Record Consent Form. At Family and Children's Services, we are required by law to use the Child Protection Information Network (CPIN) to conduct records check when a volunteer application is received. This consent will provide us with your permission to conduct our search in relation to your application and it will be done in the CPIN system which includes all Child Welfare Societies in Ontario. If you have any questions about this process, please let us know at volunteerservices@facswaterloo.org.
