Corporate Volunteer Policies


Volunteers agree to respect the privileged nature of all information they may have access to at The 519, in keeping with The 519’s Confidentiality Policies both during and after the completion of their volunteer engagement with The Centre. Volunteers, in the course of their duties, may have access to information and documents relating to participants, donors, volunteers, and staff that are private and confidential in nature. All records are the property of The 519 and will be treated as confidential material; reasonable care and caution should be exercised to protect and maintain total confidentiality. 


Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment

In keeping with The 519’s Values and Policies, volunteers will neither practice nor tolerate discrimination or harassment against any staff member, volunteer, visitor or participant on the grounds of race, creed, colour, place of origin, ethnic origin, ancestry, citizenship, political or religious affiliation, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family relationship, HIV status, economic status, identity, disability or record of offences. Volunteers will treat each other, staff, visitors and participants with dignity, care and respect.
