Volunteer Policy

Before beginning your application, please note:

For the health and safety of our volunteers, staff, and clients, MSH follows the victim services best practice for safe volunteer engagement of domestic violence survivors applying to volunteer for My Sister's House by asking for verification that the applicant is at least five years recovered from their most recent personal DV experience.

Precepts of the Volunteer Program

-My Sister's House serves Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties
-All volunteers must be age 18 or older
-All volunteers will participate in an onboarding process that will include role specific screening and training
-Volunteer applicants will be asked to submit a background check
