Volunteer policies
We, the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta promise to provide all volunteers with the following: Provide all relevant information, training, ongoing support, feedback and recognition to ensure success in your volunteer position. Treat all volunteer involvement as an integral and important part of our team. Provide ongoing opportunities for volunteers to give feedback on their position and volunteer experiences. Offer open line of communication for all volunteers with Volunteer Manager & Volunteer Assistant Handle any concerns from volunteer with respect and professionalism Act as reference for volunteer if deemed appropriate by both parties
We, the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta, reserve the right to: Place volunteers in positions we determine best suited for their experience and personality and not place volunteers in other positions for the same reasons. Terminate a volunteer’s position in the event of violations of the Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, Policies and Procedures, or at our discretion.
In return, the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta asks the following from all volunteers: Understand and know the vision and mission statement of the Foundation. Attend and/complete all required training for volunteer position. Be responsible for familiarizing with and adhering to all relevant policies and procedures Maintain confidentiality in all volunteer roles and follow our Privacy Policy. Abide by the Code of Conduct. Always act with integrity and professionalism when representing KCC. Bring any concerns to the Volunteer Manager and Volunteer Assistant immediately in order for a proactive response to occur. Update the Manager of Volunteers & Volunteer Assistant accordingly when volunteer status or information has changed. Keep track of all volunteer hours worked. Contact Manager of Volunteers or Volunteer Assistant by phone or email to request reference for outside party. Perform all volunteer roles to the best of my ability. Represent Kids Cancer Care positively in the community.
