Thank you for your interest in

Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital!

We are looking for dedicated and passionate members of our community who are interested in making a commitment to our organization. Our volunteers are a valuable resource to our team and our patients. The services provided by volunteers are essential in meeting our goal of offering high-quality patient care and service. Volunteers at OLOLCH must be 18 years of age or older.  Summer volunteer opportunities are available for younger teens through our Summer Ambassador Program.

Because our volunteers are so valuable to the experience of our children and families while hospitalized, we ask you prayerfully consider your level of commitment to become part of our volunteer team.  If you are able to commit to three hours or more of volunteer time on a weekly, regularly scheduled basis for one year (approximately 100 hours) per week, please acknowledge yes by clicking the "check mark box".

If this time commitment is not possible, we do have volunteer opportunities for Community Involvement, Corporations or Special Entertainment Visitors.  Special opportunities are also available for college students 18 years of age or older seeking to fulfill service hour requirements during a college semester while pursuing a major. To learn more about our Child Life student opportunities and internship program please visit our website here.  You may contact our volunteer department for more information at

The call to serve children and their families is unique. Just like the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady whose spirit and mission our organization is founded on, our volunteers, team members, and community partners also have servant’s hearts, willing to go above and beyond to make things better for others. This compassion makes Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital special-providing that extra magic every children’s hospital needs and thrives on. Our healthcare ministry recognizes that every patient is the center of someone’s universe and we strive help make life a little easier as families navigate through their journey of illness or injury.

Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital volunteers help to personalize the hospital experience as they look for ways to be of assistance and provide extra services for patients and families. These team members assist hospital staff and greatly enhance the quality of care we provide to patients and families at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital (OLOLCH).

Volunteers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all patient medical, employee, hospital business, and all privileged information to which they are exposed while serving as a volunteer. In the course of performing their duties, volunteers may have access to information about patients or their families, staff or OLOLCH business. Our dedicated volunteers have an ethical and legal obligation to treat all information strictly confidential. Failure to maintain confidentiality may result in termination of the volunteer's relationship with OLOLCH/OLOLRMC or any affiliate of FMOLHS.
