Conditions of Becoming a Mansfield District Hospital Volunteer
As a volunteer I understand and agree to the following:
- I am giving of my time freely and I understand I will not receive remuneration or payment for my work
- I will:
- represent MDH in a courteous and professional manner at all times
- maintain professional boundaries, which includes not involving myself in the personal affairs of consumers nor accepting gifts or money from consumers
- possess the ability to understand and respect confidentiality
- possess the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with people of all ages, races and religions
- possess the ability to use initiative, take direction and work with limited supervision
- possess the ability to interact as part of the team
- notify the volunteer coordinator of any changes to my contact details, emergency contact person or ongoing availability
- be punctual, reliable and adaptable to a constantly changing environment
- wear my uniform and name badge when volunteering
- complete training and education as required
- agree to obtain a National Police Check every three years
- agree to obtain a Working with Children Check (Volunteer) if I do not already have one
- complete a Statutory Declaration;
- Sign and agree to our Volunteer Position Description, Confidentiality agreement and 'Code of Conduct Aged Care' documents
- provide evidence of the required annual influenza vaccination
