Foster Care Eligibility Requirements
Foster volunteers provide animals with temporary homes where they can be socialized and trained, receive veterinary care, and prepare for forever homes. We are always in need of volunteers with love, patience and compassion for animals. Please watch the online foster orientation video and complete this application form if you are interested in becoming an Animal Protective Foundation foster care volunteer. There is a short quiz for you to take at the beginning of the application referring back to specific items from the video. Once you complete the form, click the submit button at the bottom of the page.
To be eligible to foster animals:
- Primary foster volunteer must be 18 years old.
- Personal pets (cats & dogs in home) must be up-to-date on vaccines.
- Available during APF hours of operation (Tuesday-Saturday 12n-4:30pm) to bring in foster animal(s) for check-ups.
- Capability to separate foster animal(s) from personal pets(depending of foster situation).
