Group Volunteering at Aggieland Humane 

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Aggieland Humane Society!

This application form is for groups of five or more volunteers connected to an organization, school, or business. Individuals and families should apply to our General Volunteer Program or Court Appointed Community Service program, please see the links at the bottom of this page.

 

How to Sign Up

 

  1. Register your group
    • List your group/organization name in the "First Name" field and any parent organization (ex. your school, place of worship, or business) in the "Last Name" field. If your group does not have a parent organization, please list your group name in both fields. Your application processing may be delayed if information is not entered in this format.

    • Please enter contact information for your group/organization if possible (ex. volunteer@aggielandhumane.org instead of a personal email address). 

  2. Complete the Group Leader Training Module
    • This module will give you all the details about volunteering that you can pass on to you group members

  3. Sign up for volunteer opportunities!
    • Groups can volunteer up to two times each month.

    • The calendar will be available on the following dates:
      August 18 -  Opportunities between August 26 and September 27
      September 17 - Opportunities between September 30 and October 25
      October 14 - Opportunities between October 28 - November 22


 

FAQs

 

  • Opportunities can accommodate up to 5 - 25 volunteers if all slots are available.

  • Opportunities must have at least 5 volunteers signed up to be held. If you have a small group, we recommend looking for opportunities that are already partially filled.

  • Opportunities are offered most weekday and Saturday mornings. For Fall 2024, opportunities will run from August 26 - November 22.

  • Our primary activity for groups is assisting with morning cleaning in our kennels.

    Occasionally we will have other needs that require additional help. For these needs we will post special opportunities to the calendar as well as sending out a notice to all of our currently registered groups.
