Volunteer Policies & Agreements

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. We are successful because of your generosity!

My Impact

Our Volunteers are required to sign up for shifts and clock in and out using our Volunteer Management Software My Impact. Take note of the username and password you create in this application. This will be your username for logging hours and accessing opportunities throughout your time as a volunteer here at HSSW.

Waivers & Agreements

We require that all of our volunteers sign a volunteer agreement and waiver of liability. If you are a volunteer under the age of 18 or an adult with a legal guardian, you will need to have your guardian sign an additional waiver.

Commitment

All volunteers are required to commit to completing at least one shift per week for six months. Shifts are available between 8:00 AM -6:00 PM at the shelter and 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM at ReTails

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer and must be able to complete assigned tasks without supervision.
