AM Staff Policy
If you are ready for the commitment to volunteer throughout the entire year and you are in for responsibility and challenge, we invite you to apply for AM Staff. Staff is responsible for coordinating large projects or departments; the success or failure of Anime Matsuri rests on the shoulders of this group. Staff are expected to show exemplary leadership skills, lead by example, and remain accountable for the success and development of their team. AM Staff Roles: Directors, Department Heads, Area Managers, Project Managers, Store Managers, 2nd level in the chain of command and highly trained personnel.
AM Staff Requirements:
- You must be 21+.
- Be a dedicated and motivated individual with a passion for Japanese, Korean and general Pop Culture.
- Have a sense of wanting to grow and give back to your community.
- A commitment to work through the entire year and during the convention weekend. It is important to emphasize that AM Staff does not have hour commitment, instead, they are committed to the success of their department or project.
- You must live in the Houston area (to attend interview, events, meetings, training and department work during the year)
- You must register as an AM Staff in our system, schedule and attend an interview to determine if you qualify as AM Staff
AM Staff will receive a 4-Day Staff Badge, access to Staff Green Room, one complimentary badge, and Staff T-Shirt, along with other perks and accommodations based on the discretion of Anime Matsuri. The reward of this experience is up to you and your creativity. This is your opportunity to help shape Anime Matsuri while making tons of new friends and developing skills useful for personal and professional development.
I understand the responsibilities and benefits of being an Anime Matsuri Staff described above. I agree with the time commitment required during the year, and understand that it varies depending on the department. I comply with AM Staff Requirements.
