Stadium Policies and Procedures
The Stadium reserves the right to accept or decline an application to volunteer. The Stadium also reserves the right to dismiss a volunteer for non-adherence or non-compliance to the following policies and procedures:
Anti-Discrimination/Anti –Harassment: The Stadium Theatre & Conservatory is dedicated to celebrating and cultivating a culturally diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. We acknowledge that this process is a journey and that our commitment is essential and ongoing. Actors of all abilities, ages, ethnicities, genders, races, and sexual orientations. If you believe that you another individual has been a target of discrimination or harassment, immediately report the incident to your supervisor. That supervisor will take that communication to their supervisor or skip that level, if that individual is a party of the inappropriate action.
Computer/Internet Use: The Stadium Theatre’s computer systems are to be used for business purposes only. When using the Stadium Theatre’s computer systems, use of social media for business purposes is allowed ex: Stadium Facebook, Twitter, blogs and LinkedIn. Personal use of social media networks or blogging of online content is discouraged and may result in termination.
Confidentiality: Employees/volunteers are not to publish post or release any information that is considered confidential or not public. Stadium policies, procedures, show information, names and contact information of volunteers, guests, students or staff is confidential and not to be shared with other entities. If there are questions about what is considered confidential, employees or volunteers should check with their immediate supervisor.
Equal Employment Opportunity: The Stadium Theatre is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religion, color, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity, pregnancy, or any other basis prohibited by law.
Information Share: No Employee or volunteer may share Stadium Theatre contact information regarding staff, volunteers, cast and crew, donors (i.e. sponsors, advertisers, members, grantors), applications, mailing lists etc. with any other individual or organizations for profit or not for profit without specific approval by the Executive Director or President of the Foundation. This includes policies, procedures and scheduling.
Intellectual Property: Employees/volunteers must obtain appropriate permission to use a third party's copyrights, copyrighted material, trademarks, service marks or other intellectual property. Failure to adhere to this may result in termination as well as retribution.
Safe Environment: The Stadium Theatre is committed to providing a safe environment for its staff, volunteers, students and guests. All employees, educators and volunteers are screened and are background checked. Adults are expected to establish and maintain clear, suitable boundaries when interacting with each other and with children and will refrain from inappropriate language, gestures or touching. Adults will not be alone with a young person in a rest room, dressing facility or other closed room or isolated area. A third party (adult or child) should always be present. Adults will not drive alone with a young person without explicit parental or guardian consent. Adults will report abuse or inappropriate behavior or activities involving adults or minors to their immediate supervisor. That supervisor will take that communication to their supervisor or skip that level, if that individual is a party of the inappropriate action.
Social Media: Employees and volunteers are an extension of the Stadium Theatre. All should refrain from posting material on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, online forums, chat rooms, etc) that is inappropriate or harmful to the Stadium Theatre Foundation, its employees, or guests. This includes any commentary, content or images that are defamatory, pornographic, proprietary, harassing, libelous, or that can create a hostile work environment.
Substance Abuse: The Stadium prohibits any employee, instructor or volunteer from working while impaired. This includes, but is not limited to, impairment from prescription drugs, alcohol, legal and illegal drugs. In addition, the use, possession, transfer or sale of any drugs on Stadium property is also prohibited including offering alcohol to minors. Non-adherence to these policies will be subject to dismissal and prosecution by local authorities.
Unbecoming Behavior: Any individual who participates at the Stadium Theatre & Conservatory who conducts themselves in unbecoming behavior including but not limited to: slander of the Stadium and its representatives, alcoholism, gambling, anger management issues, profane language, violence, or drug use will not be tolerated and will result in dismissal.
