Volunteer Code of Conduct
At the Charlottesville Free Clinic our values and mission determine the standards of behavior that we expect from both our staff and our volunteers. Please review and agree to the following code of conduct for all CFC volunteers. |
- I understand that my primary focus and responsibility is to the patients as such, ensuring the welfare of the patient is my priority.
- I will behave in a professional and ethical manner while volunteering at CFC. I understand that this includes my language, manner punctuality, preparation, and presentation.
- I will respect the rights, dignity, and worth of all patients.
- I will treat every patient equally regardless, of sex, ethnic origin, religion, or ability.
- I will only conduct work which I am qualified or trained to do.
- I will maintain and listening and learning attitude when helping patients.
- I will not put myself, other volunteers, or patients at risk or danger during my time volunteering at CFC.
- I will not bully, harass, or mistreat patients, CFC staff or other volunteers.
- I will report any violations of the volunteer code of conduct to the volunteer coordinator.
- If I am unsure of a task, or uncomfortable with my responsibility, I will reach out to CFC staff or the volunteer coordinator.
I have read and agree to the volunteer code of conduct. I understand that failure to abide by these terms may result in dismissal from the volunteer program.
