Position Information, Required Training and Privacy Statement
Thank you for your interest in becoming a LoveMyHood Matching Grant Selection Committee volunteer. The deadline to apply is Tuesday January 20, 2026
We are seeking 6 resident community volunteers to help select successful applications in an equitable and fair manner to ensure that each application meets the grant criteria as approved by Council. Volunteers must live, work, go to school, or own property in Kitchener.
The LoveMyHood Matching Grant awards up to $30,000 for neighbourhood projects that:
- Renew a neighbourhood public or green space
- Contribute to neighbourhood beautification or celebration
- Foster a sense of neighbourhood pride and belonging
- Build stronger relationships between neighbours and neighbourhood groups
- Improve safety, accessibility and/or mobility
- Inspire residents to become more involved in their neighbourhoods by working together
The committee meets a minimum of 3 times a year (first meeting Thursday March 12, 2026) from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Additional time will be required to review and comment on grant applications.
