Info & Vollie Policy

Yura! Festivals rely on the generous kindness of volunteers to help the wheels turn, this allows artists, stall holders and attendees to participate in a wonderful and rewarding experience. Our hope is for volunteers to complete a shift (or two) and also have time to enjoy the festival themselves.
Along with Quandamooka Festival and several other groups, Rotary Club of Brisbane are helping out with volunteering this year - we're using MyImpact - please complete the application process below if you're new to it - it's going to make choosing what you want to do and info sharing etc so easy.
Quandamooka Festival is a two-day celebration of Culture, Country and Community, centred at the award-winning QUAMPI Arts & Cultural Centre on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island). Volunteers are requested Thursday 10 - Tuesday 15 September.
Saturday’s outdoor main-stage program will feature ceremony, traditional and contemporary dance, and a full day of live music. There is also a Kid's Zone and workshop activities.
Sunday offers a scaled back experience mainly inside the QUAMPI centre.
Help with setting up and packing down in the two days either side of the festival is needed too.
GETTING THERE: Confirmed volunteers will receive complimentary Sealink Passenger Ferry access there and back.
WHAT TO EXPECT: A fun and ever changing experiences, new friends possibly a whale sighting! Water will be provided. Please bring your own packed lunch & snacks or explore the food vendors at the festival.
WHAT TO WEAR - FESTIVAL DAYS: Closed toe shoes are a requirement. Please wear a red top. Any red top will do!
WHAT TO WEAR BUMP IN & OUT: Closed toe shoes are a requirement.
Thank you for being understanding about reading and agreeing to our volunteer policy.
If you're not a Rotarian - that's fine - we've got you covered via this policy anyways.
When you get to the Quandamooka Festival (Qfest) site there will also be a brief Qfest specific form to sign in person.
