COV Requirements

Thank you for your willingness to help EALT in our outreach work as a Conservation Outreach Volunteer (COV)!

There are four streams of the Conservation Outreach Volunteer program, each requiring a specific skill set.

Content Creator - able to communicate interesting information about Alberta's plants and animals to use in our social media outreach.
Woodworker - skilled in woodworking and carpentry, and willing to build nest boxes, bat boxes, or other structures in your own woodshop.
Information Booth Representative - comfortable talking to the public about EALT, nature, and the environment in a friendly and professional manner.
Workshop Assistant - able to assist workshop participants in following instructions and handling hand tools and a power drill.
