Volunteer Policies and Agreements
• I agree to fully abide by the Volunteer Code of Conduct and the Dress Code.
• I agree that, to the best of my knowledge, I am physically and practically able to carry out the duties of my volunteer task, and that I will not engage in physical activity beyond the scope of my own physical capabilities.
• I understand that Long Beach Rescue Mission offers volunteer insurance as a secondary policy for insured persons, and primary coverage for uninsured persons, but this policy does not cover incidences that occur from failure to comply with safety protocol and instructions of the volunteer task supervisor.
• I understand that as a volunteer with Long Beach Rescue Mission, no promise of employment, now or in the future, has been made to me, neither will I receive compensation of any kind in exchange for, or attached to my decision to volunteer. I understand that my volunteer services may be ceased at any time by either myself or Long Beach Rescue Mission.
• Volunteers agree to indemnify LBRM and/or any of its separate entities against all claims, demands, judgments, and executions that LBRM may sustain arising from volunteer actions, whether or not such claims, demands, judgments and executions are discovered during volunteer work. Volunteers also agree that LBRM is not responsible for any injuries or accidents that may occur, or any belongings that are lost or stolen while on any of their properties.
• Volunteers give LBRM the right to print and/or publish pictures of any LBRM activities in which they participate. Volunteers are not allowed to take pictures of any other person who may be at LBRM, apart from fellow group members, and videography is not allowed.
