Rider Squad Volunteering Policies

Applications for the 2026 Season are now open. We will be accepting applications by the end of the day on March 31st or when openings are filled. Please note that submitting your application does not guarantee acceptance as a Rider Squad Member.

  1. Land Acknowledgement: We acknowledge that Mosaic Stadium is situated on Treaty 4 lands... the territories of the Cree... Saulteaux (SO-Toh)... Dakota... Lakota... and Nakoda... and on the homeland of the Métis (May-TEE) Nation.

    Saskatchewan Roughriders/Rider Squad

    Volunteer Policy – As accepted when you register as a volunteer and annually as a returning volunteer.

    1. The minimum age for all volunteers is 18 years of age on or before May 1st of each year. 
    2. New Volunteers-We want to make sure we are the right fit for you. A virtual interview and attending orientation are required. You will also need to complete a shift at the Pre-season or First Home game prior to receipt of your uniform. A volunteer bib will be provided. We require a $50.00 commitment fee to be paid following the preseason game and prior to receiving your uniform. Upon acceptance you will be able to schedule for available shifts. The game will qualify towards the annual recognition package.
    3. Returning volunteers will also have a general re-orientation and training.
    4. The Volunteer Handbook and the information within, as well as the current policies and recognition package is emailed out prior to orientation and is deemed to be accepted and received.
    5. Volunteers can self-schedule but are restricted to the available options. We may re-assign volunteers based on where we need to fill roles. Responsibility to schedule is the responsibility of the volunteer.
    6. We may request a CRC for some events. To eligible for those events, you will need to have it completed and passed.
    7. A valid email and access to the internet is required. Please ensure that you add volunteers@saskriders.com and rob.harrison@saskriders.com  to your address book. We also suggest using your personal versus work email as your primary email address.
    8. We do ask that you enable the text receipt option. It is only used on game days with those scheduled for the game in the event of an emergency.
    9. All volunteers may be asked to complete an online evaluation questionnaire at the end of the season.
    10. As a Rider Squad member, you agree to the use of your image by the Rider Squad and Saskatchewan Roughriders organization or affiliates.
    11. You accept that you are volunteering at your own risk and that the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club and its Operating Partners are not liable for any loss, injury or damages. 
    12. Volunteers are expected to adhere to the Saskatchewan Roughrider Code of Conduct, Social Media policy and Respectful Workplace policies  Found Here  in addition to any Rider Squad policies. Failure to follow any policy may result in being terminated from the program. Found Here
    13. Should you be terminated from or leave the program for any reason you will be required to return your uniform. Failure to do so will result in being invoiced for the full retail value of the uniform at the current valuation of $450.00.  The sale or donation of uniform pieces is prohibited.
    14. We appreciate the time and heart you give as a member of the Rider Squad and provide a recognition program to say thank you. To get the most out of this experience a minimum commitment of 6 games is required each season plus any playoff games. If you do not meet the 6-game threshold you may be asked to re-apply for the next season.     15. We are all fans and want to enjoy the games. However, as a Rider Squad Member we are also here to fulfill Gameday Roles, and the expectation is that each of us do so.  Being a Rider Squad Member is not a free ticket to the game.
