Volunteer Agreement
Commitment
- I agree to communicate with the Volunteer Coordinator if my availability changes
- I agree to track my volunteer hours using the volunteer portal, MyImpact.
- I understand that if I do not log any hours for three consecutive months, my status may be changed to inactive, and I may need to reapply if I wish to resume volunteering.
I agree to review announcements (emailed and/or posted on MyImpact) so I am aware of any policy or procedure updates relevant to my role.
Conduct
- I agree to follow Simply Cats policies and procedures and to complete my tasks as instructed.
- I agree to represent Simply Cats in a professional, respectful, and positive manner in all volunteer-related communications and activities.
- If I am producing or sharing content (digital or physical), I agree to do so in line with Simply Cats guidelines and with prior approval when necessary.
Task Responsibility
- I agree not to delegate or assign my volunteer tasks to anyone who has not been approved as a Simply Cats volunteer
Safety and Reporting
- I agree to notify Simply Cats if I experience any issues, technical or otherwise, that prevent me from completing my assigned tasks.
- I agree to report any inappropriate or concerning behavior I encounter while volunteering remotely.
Confidentiality and Communication
- I agree to keep organizational and donor information confidential.
- I agree not to share personal information about volunteers, staff, donors, or adopters.
- I agree to raise concerns or complaints directly with the Volunteer Coordinator or Executive Director rather than posting them publicly.
Liability and Insurance
- I understand that my volunteer work is charitable and voluntary, and I will not receive compensation of any kind.
- I understand Simply Cats volunteers are covered under the organization’s general liability insurance for claims against me arising from duties performed within the scope of my volunteer role. This insurance does not cover personal injury.
- I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Simply Cats from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from my participation as a volunteer.
