The Rooms Policies
Collections Volunteers can expect that The Rooms will:
- Provide adequate orientation, training and resources if needed
- Ensure you have access to Rooms support staff at all times
- Accept and respect your time constraints
- Recognize the value of your contribution
- Provide a Household Rooms membership (valid for 1 year) after 30 hours of volunteering
The Rooms expects that Collections Volunteers will:
- Submit to an RNC Criminal Records Screening. This will be completed by you at no cost to you when you include a fee waiver letter from The Rooms Volunteer Supervisor (RNC criminal records screenings must be received by The Rooms before a volunteer can start)
- Learn the information necessary to undertake your volunteer duties
- Email the Volunteer Supervisor or your on-site contact person when you are unable to attend a shift for which you are scheduled
- Direct comments or concerns to the Volunteer Supervisor or on-site contact person
