Thank you for your interest in a cooperative education placement with St. Joseph’s Care Group (SJCG).
COOPERATIVE EDUCATION PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
By participating in a cooperative education placement at SJCG, students will develop skills, interests and professional relationships. Students will learn about themselves, the expectations of the working world and the realities of a career while developing work habits, attitudes and job skills necessary for a successful adjustment from secondary school to post-secondary education or the workplace.
Below is a list of the opportunities available to St. Joseph's Care Group cooperative education placement students starting February 2026.

- Nutrition & Food Services - mornings only
- St. Joseph's Heritage (63 Carrie St.)
- Recreation Therapy, Bethammi Nursing Home - afternoons only: FULL
- Recreation Therapy, PR Cook Apartments - afternoons only: FULL
- Hogarth Riverview Manor (300 N Lillie St.)
- Building Services
- Recreation Therapy - afternoons only: FULL
- Sister Leila Greco (330 N Lillie St.)
- Office Support
- Recreation Therapy - afternoons only: FULL
APPLICATION PROCESS
Volunteer Services staff are here to help you join our team. Please submit your application (below). We will work with you to complete the selection process which includes:
- Interview
- Reference Checks (not from family or friends)
- Police Record Check (for students 18 years & older)
- Health Assessment (including vaccinations & TB Skin test)
- Orientation
- Training
Individuals who speak a second language including French, Finnish, Italian, Ojibway, Cree, Oji-Cree, etc. are encouraged to apply.
Upon request, accommodations due to a disability are available to support you during the selection process and throughout your co-op experience. Please contact Volunteer Services to discuss your accommodation needs.

Police Record Checks: Students aged 18 and over require a Police Records Check in order to have a cooperative education placement with SJCG. Applicants can be reimbursed for PRC costs after orientation.
Child and Youth Volunteers: All students under 18 years of age must print, sign and submit this Parental Consent Form as part of the application process.
Health Assessment: St. Joseph's Care Group does not reimburse for any associated costs.
