The Fernbank Youth Interpreters volunteer program, also known as the FYI program, is an opportunity for youth ages 13-17 to be directly involved in public events and education at Fernbank Museum. FYI volunteers must commit to the program for a minimum of one year and provide a minimum of 45 hours of service to the museum.

FYI volunteers use interpretive carts, sharing information about biology, archaeology, paleontology, and more with visitors of all ages. They also help with educational activities at special family events, summer camp, other special projects, and have opportunities to tour and visit behind the scenes.

FYI Volunteer applications are available from February 1 - March 1. Please come back at that time to submit your application.
