Telephone Support Application - Seniors Offering Support

Telephone Support is a program within Compass Community Services designed to support members of the City of Guelph and Wellington County who are isolated and/or experiencing distress through the processes of telephone and texting communication.

Volunteers within the program will engage with a diverse group of community members whose challenges may range from having a bad day where they require emotional support to being in a state of crisis and requiring emergency intervention.

Volunteers will be trained to use a solution-focused practice when offering support. They will be primarily responsible for operating remotely through telephone and text messaging to support those in need.
