Volunteer Agreement
Our Commitment to you:
- Provide you with the organization's role in the health and safety of all animals in our care as well as for the safety of our employees, volunteers, and visitors.
- Provide all the necessary training needed, and always be available for additional direction if needed and welcome all suggestions that would enhance the work which you are assigned.
- Provide open communication with the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Include you within our insurance policies: Pets Lifeline carries a Volunteer Insurance Policy. Please ask if you would like more information.
- Apply our equal opportunity policy.
- Apply our problem-solving procedures where there is a complaint or concern.
- We will respect your skills and motivations and do our best to help you achieve them.
Your Commitment to Pets Lifeline:
- Complete the tasks in the assignments which you have agreed. Give ample notice when you are not able to volunteer when expected.
- Work reliably and follow our rules and protocols to the best of your ability.
- Treat staff, volunteers, and visitors with respect. Be polite and courteous to all.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines. Follow day to day changes which will be posted regarding Covid-19.
- Never make negative comments on social media that criticize Pets Lifeline or other Pets Lifeline partners.
- Never judge animal owners and always work to help their animals.
NOTE: This agreement sets mutual expectations and is not a legally binding contract of employment. Breaking your Volunteer Agreement will result in you being released from your volunteer status.
