Teen Volunteer Program Requirements

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with AWLA! Please review our Teen Volunteer Requirements before applying to ensure our program fits with your expectations.

 

AWLA Teen Volunteer Program Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old (over 18? please see our Adult Volunteer Program).
  • Ready to commit to volunteering for at least 6 months.
  • Able to attend an in person orientation and complete subsequent online trainings.  
  • Must complete Fear Free Certification

 

Please Note: Teen Volunteers are unable to work directly with dogs and cats. The only animal handling available for teens is with our small companion animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, etc).
