Foster Care Eligibility Requirements

Foster volunteers provide animals with temporary homes where they can be socialized and trained, receive veterinary care, and prepare for forever homes. We are always in need of volunteers with love, patience and compassion for animals.

To be eligible to foster animals:

Primary foster volunteer must be 18 years old.
Personal pets (cats & dogs in home) must be up-to-date on vaccines.
Willingness to travel to the APF for supplies, veterinary check ups, and adoption appointments as needed.
Capability to separate foster animal(s) from personal pets(depending of foster situation).
