Next Steps to becoming a Five Acres volunteer (PLEASE READ!):

Step 1: Complete the Online Volunteer Application, which includes verifying that you have read, understand, and agree to our Volunteer Release and Waiver. An active email address that is checked regularly is required.

Step 2: Before you are approved, you will communicate with Mallary to determine which role(s) we will have you starting in and what kind of a schedule you will take on.

Step 3: Once your application is approved, you will be sent instructions on how to watch the online Volunteer Orientation, complete the e-Learning module, and how to sign up for either an in-person Workshop Training or a meeting with Mallary to get you started!

Step 4: After signing up, you will either come in for a workshop training one-on-one meeting with Mallary before you are shadow trained in your specific area.

Step 5: After completing shadow training, you will be notified via email that they are approved! You will be granted full volunteer access to Better Impact, added in our communication, and you will officially begin your time as a volunteer!

Please Note: We are still updating some of our training materials so after completing your application we will need you to be patient and wait until you hear from Mallary about training depending on your role. The last of our materials to be updated should be finalized by mid-May at the latest. If you cannot wait that long, then please do not apply.
