The Centre, located in Bunbury, Western Australia, is renowned for its educational programs, eco-tourism initiatives, and active role in environmental stewardship.
Becoming a volunteer requires a combination of commitment, enthusiasm, relevant skills, and a willingness to learn.
Do you have a:
- Passion for Marine Life: Volunteers should have a genuine interest in dolphins, marine conservation, and the broader coastal ecosystem. Enthusiasm for wildlife and the environment is essential for engaging with both the animals and the Centre’s visitors.
- Positive Attitude: A friendly, courteous, and professional approach is vital. Volunteers represent the Centre and should be able to make visitors feel welcome and valued.
- Willingness to Learn: The Centre provides training sessions for all volunteers. Being open to learning new information about marine science, animal behaviour, and visitor engagement is essential.
Do you embrace the qualities of:
- Reliability and Commitment: Volunteers are expected to attend scheduled shifts punctually and regularly. Consistency is crucial for the smooth operation of the Centre and for fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing tasks, weather conditions, and visitor needs is important. Volunteers may be asked to assist with various duties as needed.

Important: All volunteers must be aged 16 years or above and have (or be able to obtain) a current WA Working with Children Check.
