Volunteer requirements

We do have some requirements for volunteering that you need to consider first:

·         Applicants must be over 16 years of age

·         Applicants must be competent in working individually and as part of team

·         Applicants must be physically capable and relatively fit

·         Volunteers need to have reliable transport – we are not on a bus route

·         We ask for a minimum commitment of a fortnightly shift

·         Student course work experience or placement hours are only available as and when we have space on shifts on your required day(s).

·         Volunteers must be punctual to their rostered shift, as we have a set daily schedule

·         Volunteers need to be committed to the shift assigned, but can negotiate changes if your work or life commitments require

·         Please be aware that dog-walking and canine behaviour work are not entry level volunteer positions

·         Dogwatch has the right to decline any application**
