Thank you for your interest in the Rutgers Master Gardener Program in Union County. Our 2026 Master Gardener training program will begin October 13th, 2026.
Classes will be held Tuesday mornings in-person at the Trailside Nature and Science Center, 452 New Providence Road in Mountainside from 10am-12:45pm. The new course will feature horticultural training with an emphasis on volunteer outreach training. Please sign up for an Orientation/Info session to see if the program is right for you! Sessions will be held May 5th, 7th, and 11th from 10:00am-11:30am on zoom. Please note that each session is capped at 40 participants and attendance at a session is required for applying to the program.
