Due to the sensitive and secure nature of volunteering within the Police Service those wishing to volunteer with the Edmonton Police Service must; • be of 18 years of age older • have Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status; • be a resident of Edmonton for a minimal of one year; • have no criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted; • have no associations with those who are known to have extensive criminal records; All potential volunteers will be subject to a rigorous criminal background check prior to being accepted as a volunteer which will include immediate family members and residents of thier home who are 12 yrs and older. All personal information collected, used and disclosed as authorized by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPP) Act.
