Volunteer Requirements
- I understand that I must be 16 years of age or older in order to volunteer at KHSC
- I understand that not everyone who applies is accepted as a volunteer.
- I understand that KHSC uses a third-party company for reference checks.
- I understand that as part of the application process KHSC requires that I submit the results of a criminal reference check with the vulnerable sector search (If 18 year of age or older). More details are provided at the Volunteer Information Session.
- I understand as part of the application process KHSC requires that I submit the results of a negative 2-step Tuberculosis (TB) test and provide proof of immunization and COVID-19 vaccination, and that I will be provided with a form that a health care provider is required to complete.
- I understand that I will have to pay for the completion of these required documents and that I will be informed of the process and requirements for reimbursement.
- I understand that if I don’t attend a KHSC Volunteer Information Session within two (2) months of submitting my application, that my application will be removed from the database.
